Without a good reason, the soft and warm bed would probably win every morning’s battle, don’t you agree? You wouldn’t have a strong enough reason to leave your comfort zone and would probably stay there for as long as you can — life would be easy.
But as a human being, you too have needs and responsibilities that you cannot avoid, you too have to take care of yourself. For this reason, you build up the strength to endure discomfort, make sacrifices and fight your way out of your comfort zone.
A strong reason can really help you do some amazing things
It will help you endure failure and still move forward, it will help you dissect your fears and worries so that they can help you make better progress, and it will remind you of your faith and hope so that you can keep on going, even when the odds weigh heavily against you.
A strong reason can be wonderful, but you have to be careful where you invest it
Your reason should be helping you build the strength to develop better habits and be a better person, not the opposite. Since it has the power to help you make progress along any path you choose, good or bad, it is up to you to be responsible for it. It is up to you to be the judge of the path you decide to follow and use your reason to help you stay true to your journey.
But, have you considered what path you wish to follow?
It’s a little different for each person, so don’t be afraid to admit yours. Like us all, you have been given a life to live — it may not be as bad as some, and it may not be as good as others, but you have one — you just have to figure out how to use it to follow a better path, you have to figure out how to use your life to create your success.
But now, I must ask,
What Does Success Mean To You
Before you are able to achieve something, you must see it first, right?
So, let us imagine your future self as being someone successful
What exactly do you see? Do you see someone who is financially free? Someone who owns their own business? Or do maybe you see someone creating a better future for the generations to come?
Be bold, my friend, be bold
What about the type of person you see yourself becoming? Do you see someone who has cultivated good habits? Do you see someone who maintains good mental and physical health? Or maybe you see someone who has improved their relationship with themselves and others?
Your future often is made up of many avenues that will make it successful, so add as much detail as you can
But whatever it is that you see when you look at your future self, remember it — write it down if you must. Let it help you understand what you are working towards, and also, the little steps you need to take today to someday be successful.
Now that you understand your success,
All You Need Is A Strong Reason To Be Successful
I wonder whether such a reason may exist. Don’t get me wrong, this does not mean that I don’t have faith in you, I actually do — it’s just tricky to think that a single reason could do it all.
But let’s think about it like this, what would happen if you don’t become your success?
What kind of life would you lead? How would you live every day knowing that you could be better? Would that even be living? I know that it takes a bit more effort to move towards your success, but isn’t the end goal worth the discomfort and sacrifices?
And every moment you wait for a reason to be successful is a moment lost
So instead of waiting for a reason to be healthy, work on your health. Instead of waiting for a reason to build better habits, invest more time in better habits. Instead of waiting for a reason to be a good person, be a good person.
Your success lies in the choices you make every day
Do your best to remember this, because sometimes the only person standing in your way is you. And as you start moving towards your success, you will find many reasons along the way to keep you going.
The great Socrates once said that the unexamined life is not worth living. And there is a great deal of sense in this because if you don’t examine your life, if you don’t take the time to understand it, someone else will go ahead and define it for you.
Are you willing to take that risk?
I know that much of life is risky, but if you take the time to understand the life you lead and the success you seek, your path will become a calculated risk, and this will make all the difference. This will help you achieve your definition of success.
And deciding your own path will save you from being at the mercy of others
Their beliefs and opinions will no longer have much power over you. In fact, you will be able to use them constructively along your own journey by drawing whatever value you can find from them.
The world outside won’t have a great deal of power over you. In fact, you will become your own because you will never forget where you have come from and where you are going to.
